  • 2010 ECAC Champion in the outdoor 1500m

  • 2010 East Regional Finalist in the 1500m

  • School Record Holder in the 1500m

  • 7-time NCAA Academic All-American

Adam Ruiz, Parkview

  • *best 5K time 15:20 at Antioch Invitational in Nashville, TN

  • *led Parkview to two State Championships and one runner up in his 3 years of running

  • *two time Gwinnet county and Region 8 Individual Champion

  • *named to All State Team his Jr. and Sr. years

  • *helped to lead TAC Athletic South Team to State and Regional titles and then to a National Runner Up his sophomore year

  • *chosen as a member of the All South CC Team for two years

  • *Harrier magazine selected him to its "Top 100" high school runners in both Jr. and Sr. years

  • *led Parkview to be included in The Harriers list of Top 20 teams in the U.S. for two years

  • *Inside Track magazine honored Parkview as an All American Team for 1985 and 86 for the most part because of Adam

  • *ATC distinguished him as the Top Runner of the Year in Georgia CC by awarding him the Jeff Benton Award in 1985

  • *at the time of his graduation Adam held 8 course records in the Southeast

  • *received a full scholarship to UNCC to run

  • After Graduation

  • *joined to Army Rangers

  • *received both U.S. Army Commendation and U.S. Army Achievement Medals

  • *received a Combat Infantryman's Badge for his service in Operation Just Cause in Panama

  • *after Army he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oglethorpe Univ. with a degree in Politics

  • *graduated from Florida State Univ. College of Law in 1999

  • *admitted to The Bar in 2000

  • *became Assistant District Attorney in Tallahassee, Florida where he served as Chief Prosecutor.

  • *was then appointed Special Assistant State Attorney

  • *today he has his own practice specializing in immigration

  • *he is married and has four children
