1985-State Champion -800m-2:08.75-stood as the County record for 21 years. Still #2 all time in Gwinnett. 

Inducted into State Track and Field Hall of Fame

Stasia Kelly-Taylor, GAC

In her 4 years at GAC she won 19 of 20 events she was entered in at the Region meet She was a state champion in the triple jump, 300 hurdles, 100 hurdles and 4 x 400 relay for a total of 6 state championships. Her 39' 1/2" triple jump was the AA State record for several years. Her best 100 hurdle time in was 14.4 and best 300 hurdle time was 44.3 She led her team in 2005 to the first ever girls state track championship at GAC She had a very nice career at Baylor where her best collegiate triple jump was 42' 1/4 "

Stephen Harris, Norcross

  • Member of four relay teams that hold Norcross High records

  • Three times All-County in track

  • All-County in cross country - -Senior year

  • Most Outstanding NHS Track Athlete his Sophmore, Junior, & Senior year.

  • Holds high school 400M dash

  • Broke University of Tennessee program record in the decathlon as a freshman

  • SEC Freshman of the Year

  • Two-time captain

  • Captain’s Award and Ironman Award at UT

  • Davis/Zwingle Scholarship, rising senior demonstrating exceptional campus leadership

  • Two NCAA team championships (2001) outdoors, (2002) indoors.

  • NCAA champion in the decathlon - University of Tennessee (2003) 

  • Ranked No. 8 in the world, No. 4 in U.S. in decathlon while at UT

  • Only four-time All-American in the decathlon for the University of Tennessee

  • Coached multi-event athletes at Harvard and Northeastern Universities

Active on Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and in student government
